Good food, good drinks, friendly bartenders! What else can you ask for? I was craving burgers and found here on Yelp and gave it a try. I'm glad I did. I went with Jalopeno burger per the bartender's suggestion and was not disappointed. Paired with moose drool and garlic Parm fries, it hit the spot well. I will be back for the bistro burger soon.
TRU Burger was the perfect early dinner stop before catching the Suns game just a short ride away. Snagging one of the high top tables in the bar area, we were immediately struck by the cozy, right at home vibe, which was accented by the attentive, welcoming service throughout. The beer menu isn't extensive, but it'll do for a drink paired with burgers and fries, and the staff is happy to let you sample tap offerings to guide your selection. We ordered the Green Chile Queso Blanco to start, which served as a perfect appetizer. The fresh tortilla chips are notable, paired with creamy queso that is packed with evolving flavor. We both went with the build your own burger option. The bison burger got 5 stars from the meat eater at the table. I went with the veggie patty with a wheat bun, goat cheese, onions and mushrooms, tomatoes and mixed greens, and get this, 3 different sauces on the side! That's right. TRU Burger lets you pick up to three per burger. A foodie's taste testing dream! I tried the Herb Mayo, Sweet Jalapeño Aioli and Honey Mustard, with liberal dipping of my sweet potato fries, which were addicting to say the least. The Sweet Jalapeño Aioli was probably my favorite, but the other two were also delicious. The burger itself was solid, but I've had better. The bun was also a bit drier than I would have liked to see. But overall, a solid 4 star bite! Definitely worth adding to your Phoenix burger spot list!
Loved it and I'll definitely be back to try some other creative burgers. It was my first time and I'm gravitating towards dtphx; possible to recapture my fading youth and definitely for a tasty burger. There are lots of options in town but I keep hearing about this place and not disappointed. The burger was big, fresh, made to my specifications and absolutely memorable. I loved the fries and the service also and, as mentioned, I shall return.
My favorite spot to grab a burger in Phoenix They have a great food and drink menu, all day happy hour on Sunday. It's a nice quiet ambiance that you can have a chat with a friend and watch the football games. Highly recommend the Blue Cheese burger and the zucchini fries! Staff is always super helpful and friendly, keep up the great service thank you!!
Glad we we're in the area and decided to try this joint. There was a burger for everyone! Even a veggie and an impossible burger. The burgers were big and delicious. I got their garlic parm fries, they we're good, just lacked salt. I was excited that they made their ranch in house but lacked flavor and was runny. Our server was awesome and fun! We had a bottle of champagne as well. They play good music and it had a great live energy. If I'm in the area and craving a burger, I would definitely visit again.
Ohhhh we love a good burger place don't we?! First off, they have $3 bloody Mary's on happy hour and she comes LOADED with goodies. It was delicious!! We also did the $6 marg. We ordered some snacks (Buffalo chips and fried zucchini). The Buffalo chips are home made chips, with the perfect sprinkle of blue cheese and Buffalo sauce. Our burgers were cooked to perfection, and so good! The green chilli burger had a while green chilli on it!! The brioche buns are toasted and perfect. If you're in the area and want a good Sunday funday burger, brews, and cocktails... you should absolutely check this place out! Super chill. Was able to just sit and relax and enjoy the day and vibe. Staff was also super friendly and attentive.
At Tru Burgers, burgers are large in size. Bread/buns really hold up to the patty and toppings. Toppings on the breakfast burger (without bacon) were fresh. Patty melt was not overly greasy. Patties on both burgers were cooked medium, not medium rare. Sweet potato fries are a nice mix of salty and sweet. Inside is soft. Tru Fries are a mix of sweet potato and regular fries. Regular fries are a bit thinner than the regular potato fries. Tru Burger is a burger joint that has a very wine bar vibe. There is a full bar and wine selection. Ample seating inside. There is also a small outdoor patio. The wine bar vibe has prices to match.
